To me, it was clear from the beginning that there was a present timeline (beginning when Theo stared his job at the Grove) and a past timeline (beginning when Theo met kathy.) The other POV was the journal, which was more obvious. I just finished the book and am surprised that others didn't know there were two timelines until the end.

So to make up for the time wasted, I’ve decided to have some fun and hate cast it. While I loved BA Paris’ first novel, Behind Closed Doors, I found myself really disliking the main character in her sophomore novel The Break Down. Every now and then, I read a book that really irritates me, and don’t want them to make it into a movie. I love to read, and when I read a book, I cast the film adaptation in my mind.
